Zusammenfassung

EPAM Systems is seeking a Senior AI-Native Forward Deployed Engineer to partner with clients in Switzerland, blending product thinking with architecture and hands-on engineering. The role focuses on AI-driven specifications, agent orchestration and delivery-as-code approaches.

You will work with business stakeholders and engineering teams to design AI-enabled solutions, apply governance, and ensure safe, cost-efficient AI outputs in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering and system design.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, prompt engineering or AI tools (e.g., Claude, GitHub Copilot).
• Strong background with cloud platforms, modern APIs and DevOps practices.
• Product-oriented mindset and experience in customer-facing engagements.
• Ability to operate across business, architecture and technical layers.
• Proven experience building AI agents or multi-agent systems.
• Familiarity with AI governance, evaluation and safety frameworks.
• Experience in client-facing or forward-deployed roles.
• Strong written and verbal communication for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Professional fluency in German and English.
• Nice to have Certifications in AI, Machine Learning or major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience in insurance or financial services domains.

Aufgaben

• Own business problems from discovery through delivery, converting requirements into AI-driven specifications, workflows and architectures.
• Design and implement solutions using AI-first and agent-based architectures to enable development driven by prompts, context and orchestration.
• Serve as a bridge between business, product and engineering teams, promoting AI-native practices across the lifecycle.
• Build, optimize and manage the lifecycle of prompts, context pipelines and instruction sets, including versioning and evaluation processes.
• Orchestrate AI agents across SDLC workflows and integrate capabilities into existing tools such as IDEs, CI/CD pipelines and cloud environments.
• Develop reusable patterns and frameworks for AI-enabled delivery.
• Ensure quality, reliability, safety and cost-efficiency of AI-generated outputs with defined validation criteria, reviews and rework cycles.
• Deliver solutions in an embedded forward-deployed model, working closely with clients on-site or virtually.
• Coach client teams through AI-driven transformations and mentor engineers to adopt modern AI-first delivery practices.
