Overview

As our Accounting Assistant (f/m/d) you will be taking over the monthly booking of invoices and bank files and become part of the Eversports Finance Controlling Team. During onboarding and training by our specialists, you will quickly take over responsibility and manage your own projects and contribute towards making your own impact on our mission: "Makes Sports Happen".

Your Tasks

• Be the final line of defense for financial accuracy – Review and validate booked invoices to ensure every detail is spot-on and nothing slips through the cracks. Your eye for precision keeps our numbers trustworthy.
• Become a VAT expert – Dive deep into VAT regulations and master their impact on our day-to-day financial operations. You'll play a key role in ensuring compliance and advising the team with confidence.
• Champion accuracy and integrity in every transaction – From selecting the right VAT codes to choosing appropriate accounts, your commitment to precision safeguards our financial data and reporting quality.
• Drive seamless collaboration – Actively connect with team members to collect missing invoices on time, helping keep our accounting engine running smoothly and efficiently.
• Own the deadline game – Keep everyone in the loop about critical submission dates (like tax filings), fostering a proactive and deadline-driven culture that always stays ahead of the curve.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement and automation of daily accounting and reconciliation processes, with a focus on leveraging AI and process optimization

Your Profile

• You're eager to gain hands-on experience. Whether you're looking for a mini job or studying Finance, Accounting, or a related field, you’re ready to apply your skills in a real-world setting.
• You’ve got the basics covered. You’re familiar with local GAAP (UGB) and Austrian VAT law, and keen to build on that foundation.
• You’re confident in German (B2) and comfortable in English (B2). Clear communication across teams and tasks comes naturally to you.
• You’re thinking long-term. You’re open to staying beyond the internship and growing with the team.
• Deadlines drive you. You stay organized and communicate critical dates clearly and on time.
• Bonus points for experience. Prior work with invoice booking or bank file processing is great, but your proactive mindset matters most.
