Join our Team

We are looking to fill a new part‑time Accountant role with administrative responsibilities (all genders), working 24 hours per week at Quantum Technology Laboratories GmbH (qtlabs) in Vienna.

qtlabs is a leading centre for optical and quantum‑based communication technologies, developing advanced quantum key distribution (QKD) systems and optoelectronic solutions for space and terrestrial applications. We contribute to shaping secure global communication through technological advancement.

The Role

As a valued member of our finance team, you will primarily handle accounting activities and support selected administrative and organisational tasks.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

• Ongoing accounting activities in accordance with Austrian accounting standards
• Processing and posting of invoices, purchase orders, and incoming goods
• Maintenance and reconciliation of accounting records
• Support in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements
• Assistance in the preparation of the annual financial statements (Jahresabschluss)
• Coordination and communication with external partners (mainly in German)
• General administrative and organisational tasks related to accounting and finance
• Support in day‑to‑day financial and organisational operations

Key Responsibilities

• Completed accounting education or equivalent qualification
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in accounting
• Solid knowledge of Austrian accounting practices and processes
• Very accurate, structured, and reliable working style
• Good MS Office skills, especially Excel
• Very good command of German (spoken and written)
• English skills are an advantage
• Independent, responsible, and team‑oriented working style
