Walmart Global Tech is hiring a Staff Software Engineer (Android) for the Marketplace Engineering team in Sunnyvale, CA. You will design and implement sophisticated Android features, work with product/design, optimize user experience, and mentor junior engineers.
You will lead medium to large projects, ensure code quality, and contribute to architecture decisions while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable experiences for customers and sellers.

As a member of the marketplace team, you’ll be deeply involved with creating novel features that make seller’s lives easier by linking digital and physical shopping experiences. You’ll be working shoulder-to-shoulder with a top-notch and diverse group of iOS, Android and services developers. The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00 - $220,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
Option 1: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 4 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
Option 2: 6 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area and 2 years’ experience in software engineering or related area, We value candidates with a background in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly.
