Teladoc Health is seeking a Team Lead–Opex/GL to oversee operating expense accounting, GL activities, and analytics. You will drive process improvements and support system enhancements.

You will partner with FP&A, Procurement, Legal, and People Ops to ensure accurate expense recognition, strong internal controls, and timely reporting across multiple locations.

Formación

• BS/BA in Business, Economics, Accounting or related discipline.
• Strong Excel skills required.
• Knowledge of US GAAP.
• Ability to collaborate in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare month-end journal entries incl. accruals and reconciliations.
• Perform Opex analysis and management reporting.
• Ensure compliance with policies and internal controls.
• Document Opex, accrual, and GL activities for audit.
• Partner with FP&A, Procurement, Legal, People Ops on expense initiatives.
• Oversee monthly reconciliations, roll-forwards, and GL close.
• Analyze expenses and balance sheet trends; identify variances.
• Prepare reports for internal mgmt and external audits.
• Support system implementations and process improvements.
• Identify improvement opportunities from financial analyses.
• Cultivate cross-functional relationships for accurate expense recognition.
• Act as SME for Opex and GL datasets; assess controls.
• Review reconciliations, entries, and close deliverables.
• Support ERP implementations: requirements, testing, validation.

The Team Lead– Opex / GL is responsible for overseeing operating expense accounting, general ledger activities, and related analytics. This role partners cross-functionally to ensure accurate expense recognition, strong internal controls, and timely financial reporting, while driving process improvements and supporting system enhancements.

Role Responsabilities

• Responsible for various journal entries including accruals at month end and assigned reconciliations.
• Perform monthly operating expense analysis and reporting to management
• Work in compliance with company financial policies, internal controls, and accounting standards
• Maintain documentation of all Opex, accrual, and GL-related activities for reference and audit purposes
• Partner with cross-functional teams (FP&A, Procurement, Legal, People Ops) to support expense management initiatives
• Assist in and oversee monthly account reconciliations, roll-forwards, and General Ledger (GL) close activities
• Performs detailed analysis of operating expenses and balance sheet accounts to identify trends, variances, and root causes
• Analyzes, prepares, and coordinates distribution of financial reports for internal management use and external audit support
• Provides analytics for and supports special projects, including system implementations and process enhancements
• Engages regularly on improvement opportunities identified through financial and operational analysis
• Cultivates internal relationships to understand departmental workflows and ensure accurate expense recognition
• Subject matter expert for Opex and GL datasets; leverage data to assess control effectiveness and recommend improvements
• Participate in review of account reconciliations, journal entries, and close deliverables
• Support ERP implementation and enhancement initiatives, including requirements gathering, testing, and post-implementation validation

Qualifications Expected for Position

• BS/BA degree in Business, Economics, Accounting, or related discipline or equivalent related experience
• Strong Excel skills are a must
• Problem Solver who looks to improve existing workflows and business processes.
• Must be able to collaborate within a team dynamic, but also could work under their own
• Organized and detail-oriented working at a fast pace with changing requirements
• Ability to prioritize workloads and set expectations
• Knowledge of US GAAP
• Ability to work in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment and managing complex initiatives
• Strong communications skills to be able to work with multiple people in multiple Locations
• Industry experience a plus
• System knowledge that would be beneficial: RevPro, Great Plains, Oracle, and Salesforce
