Job summary

Producers Rice Mill is seeking a Safety Sensitive Forklift Operator to manage inbound material handling, carrier inspections, and packing material setup. You will use scanners to maintain traceability and move supplies across departments. This role requires fluency in English and the ability to work overtime, including nights and weekends.

Schedule is Monday–Friday 7:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. with potential overtime.

Qualifications

• Forklift experience required.
• Basic math skills required (add/subtract/multiply/divide).
• Basic computer skills required (scanners).
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
• Must read, speak, write and understand English fluently.
• Willing to climb up to 20 feet.
• Able to lift up to 100 lbs.
• Willing to bend, stoop, push, pull, twist and turn during the day.
• Able to work in hot and cold temperatures.
• Willing to wear required PPE and follow safety rules.

Job Summary: Operates electric forklift, inspects carriers (trucks and boxcars) when product comes in to ensure the carrier is safe, clean and does not compromise product quality and/or safety of materials being received. Stacking and taking down packing material on slip sheets and/or pallets. Responsible for operating scan guns to maintain product traceability and inventory control and delivering supplies to other departments throughout the day.

Basic Qualifications

• Must possess forklift experience.
• Must possess basic math skills. (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
• Must possess basic computer skills. (scanners)
• Must possess a valid drivers' license and have a good driving record.
• Must read, speak, write, and understand the English language fluently.
• Must be willing to climb up to 20 feet.
• Must be willing to lift up to 100 lbs.
• Must be willing to bend, stoop, push, pull, twist, and turn throughout the day.
• Must be able to work in hot and cold temperatures for periods of time.
• Must be willing and able to wear the required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
• Must be willing and able to follow all safety and food safety rules.
• Other duties as requested by supervisor.
