Nubank is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for Insurance to lead platform-scale architecture and drive AI/agentic tooling adoption across engineering workflows. You will work with Product, Data, Security, and Compliance to shape scalable, responsible AI-powered systems that affect millions of customers and insurers.

The role emphasizes hands-on architectural work, mentoring peers, and delivering measurable business impact while ensuring compliance and risk controls in a fintech environment.

Formación

• Demonstrated senior/staff engineering leadership delivering large-scale systems.
• Mentoring peers on AI-native workflows and engineering practices.
• Strong systems engineering: architecture, CI/CD, test automation.
• Foundational knowledge of AI/LLM concepts and hands-on tooling.

Responsabilidades

• Diagnose and evolve platform architecture to support scale and new markets.
• Provide AI-first engineering leadership and set standards for AI tooling.
• Coordinate with Product, Data, Security, Compliance, Insurance to align outcomes.
• Ensure observability, tracing, logging and alerting for AI systems in production.
• Mentor engineers on architecture and AI practices to raise execution level.
