Finalsite is seeking a Staff Engineer to provide senior technical leadership across its engineering organization. This is a highly influential individual contributor role, working closely with engineering leadership and the CTO to solve complex technical challenges across a large-scale, evolving platform.

Finalsite operates a multi-cloud environment across AWS and GCP, using Kubernetes, and technologies including .Net, Ruby/Rails, Python, and C/C++.

Formación

• Extensive experience as a senior or staff-level software engineer on large-scale production systems.
• Strong background in distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and containerized workloads.
• Hands-on experience with AWS and/or GCP and Kubernetes.
• Expertise in backend with Python or Ruby/Rails and modern cloud tooling.
• Proven ability to own production systems and drive reliability improvements.
• Solid understanding of observability, monitoring, SLOs, and incident management.
• Ability to mentor engineers and lead technical discussions across teams.

Responsabilidades

• Lead modernization of complex legacy systems and define executable migration strategies.
• Drive architectural initiatives from planning through production ownership.
• Improve platform reliability and observability across distributed systems.
• Make and influence key architectural decisions in cloud-based environments.
• Provide technical leadership through reviews, mentorship, and standards.
• Partner with leadership on rebuilding core data and communications infrastructure.
• Ensure new systems are scalable, maintainable, and operationally sustainable.
• Balance long-term architecture with immediate business needs.
