About Salesforce

Salesforce is the #1 AI CRM, where humans with agents drive customer success together. Here, ambition meets action. Tech meets trust. And innovation isn’t a buzzword — it’s a way of life. The world of work as we know it is changing and we're looking for Trailblazers who are passionate about bettering business and the world through AI, driving innovation, and keeping Salesforce's core values at the heart of it all. Ready to level-up your career at the company leading workforce transformation in the agentic era? You’re in the right place! Agentforce is the future of AI, and you are the future of Salesforce.

What is a Solution Engineer?

Also known as a "Pre-Sales Engineer" or "Sales Consultant," the Solution Engineer presents our product offerings to prospects and customers, builds confidence in our technology, and helps remove technical objections throughout the sales cycle. To do this, Solution Engineers draw on their technical and sales skills to gather business requirements, develop a technical sales strategy, and configure and demonstrate solutions that deliver business value.

Specialist Solution Engineer

Are you a technically minded, curious communicator who loves turning data into clear, compelling stories? As a Specialist Solution Engineer, you'll be the subject matter expert for Tableau and its family of products, including Tableau Cloud, Tableau Server, Tableau Next, and CRM Analytics. You'll help customers across LATAM become more data-driven by showing how a trusted, governed semantic foundation turns data into decisions. You'll work side by side with Account Executives and account-team Solution Engineers to bring the value of Analytics to every conversation.

What You'll Be Doing
  • You’ll support the technical sales cycle for Analytics, from discovery and storytelling demos to hands-on workshops, showing customers the "why" and the "what." You’ll listen closely to business and data needs, then demo how Tableau helps customers define metrics and business rules once and reuse them in governed, trusted analytics.
  • You’ll show how analytics interoperability across Tableau Cloud, Server, Tableau Next, and CRM Analytics works, and how recent innovations such as Tableau Knowledge, Tableau Studio, and Tableau Semantics fit the customer's existing data stack.
  • You’ll also act as an evangelist for Analytics with internal teams, helping them position Tableau with confidence.
Your Impact
  • Partner with Account Executives to understand each customer's business goals and challenges throughout the sales cycle.
  • Build trusted relationships with business and technical stakeholders by understanding their data and analytics strategy and identifying the right Tableau solution.
  • Run discovery sessions and workshops with business users to define and build solution prototypes.
  • Build and deliver customized demos that prove business value, including semantic models (Tableau Semantics, Published Data Sources) and analytics interoperability across Tableau Cloud, Server, Tableau Next, and CRM Analytics.
  • Present the value of Tableau clearly to business users, managers, and leaders.
  • Demo and position Tableau's latest innovations, such as Tableau Knowledge and Tableau Studio, and show how they fit with the customer's existing data stack.
  • Contribute technical responses to RFPs/RFIs.
  • Enable the broader Solution Engineering team and adjacent teams to position Analytics within the Salesforce portfolio, through webinars, best practices, and knowledge sharing.
  • Share customer feedback with the Product and GTM teams.
  • Manage several customer engagements at once across LATAM, prioritizing with the sales team.
  • Keep growing your expertise in Tableau, CRM Analytics, and the Salesforce platform.
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel as needed.
What we’re looking for

We're seeking a proactive, collaborative professional with presales or technical experience in the software/IT industry or as an end user of analytics tools. You bring solid technical knowledge and hands‑on expertise in data visualization/analytics or BI.

  • Experienced: 3+ years in technical pre‑sales, consulting, or analytics roles, and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS, or equivalent experience.
  • Technically strong: Hands‑on experience with Tableau, CRM Analytics, or similar BI tools (Power BI, Looker). Experience analyzing data, identifying trends, and building visualizations.
  • Python and/or JavaScript is a plus.
  • Specialized knowledge: Familiarity with data modeling, semantic layers, and data warehouse concepts. Experience building demos or proofs of concept is a plus.
  • Strong communicator: Excellent verbal and written communication, and the ability to present in person and online to diverse audiences.
  • Languages: English and Spanish required.
  • Sales‑minded: Able to support the sales team with business value articulation and product positioning.
  • Creative: A mindset that looks for new ways to solve customer problems and bring fresh ideas to customers and the team.
  • Organized: Strong time management to run multiple projects and sales cycles in parallel.
  • Team player: Committed to team goals as well as individual ones.
How you differentiate yourself
  • Salesforce certifications (Tableau Consultant, Tableau Desktop Specialist, CRM Analytics, Administrator)
  • Experience with semantic layers or metrics layers (Tableau Semantics, Published Data Sources, dbt, etc.)
  • Hands‑on experience with modern cloud data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, etc.)
  • Prior experience as a Salesforce power user or admin
  • Published content or community involvement (blogs, Tableau User Groups, talks)
