You’ll lead discovery, document decisions, and collaborate with Growth, Delivery, and Engineering to ensure feasibility and sustainability. Strong English, client-facing skills, and Microsoft Azure expertise are essential.

Possumus is looking for a Solution Architect to join our dynamic team!

Possumus is a leading technology and AI company, specialized in software development and Microsoft Cloud solutions for the Banking, Fintech, and Oil & Gas sectors. We focus on delivering innovative technological solutions that help our clients optimize processes and achieve their business goals.

As a Solution Architect, you will transform complex business and technology challenges into viable, secure, scalable, operable, and economically sustainable solutions. You will act as a trusted advisor to our clients, connecting business needs, technology, pre-sales, and delivery throughout the entire solution lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Lead discovery workshops, technical assessments, ideation sessions, and solution-definition activities with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Understand clients business objectives, technology environments, processes, constraints, and expected outcomes, identifying both explicit and implicit requirements.
• Design and communicate end-to-end solution architectures aligned with business and functional objectives, clearly documenting principles, assumptions, decisions, risks, dependencies, and trade-offs.
• Define and validate functional and non-functional requirements, considering security, identity, integration, data, AI, observability, resilience, availability, scalability, performance, governance, compliance, operations, and cost.
• Translate complex or ambiguous business challenges into clear, actionable, and technically viable solution alternatives and technology roadmaps.
• Act as a trusted technical advisor, communicating complex technology concepts clearly to technical, functional, commercial, and executive audiences.
• Lead the technical solutioning process during pre-sales, contributing to discovery meetings, proposals, RFPs, RFIs, high-level estimations, technical presentations, demonstrations, and proofs of concept.
• Collaborate with Growth, Delivery, Software Engineering, Platform Engineering, Data, AI, Security, and Operations to ensure the feasibility, quality, and sustainability of proposed solutions.
• Support the implementation of approved solutions, preserving architectural consistency and assessing changes that may affect scope, risks, costs, operations, or long-term sustainability.
• Promote architecture principles, standards, reusable patterns, and best practices, contributing to Architecture Reviews and documenting relevant decisions through Architecture Decision Records when applicable.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and their applicability to specific client needs, promoting simple, sustainable, and reusable solutions over unnecessary complexity.
• Share architectural knowledge, mentor technical professionals, and contribute to strengthening Possumus discovery, consulting, pre-sales, and solution architecture capabilities.

Minimum Requirements

• 7+ years of professional experience in technology, including at least 4 years in Solution Architecture, technical consulting, solutioning, or equivalent responsibilities.
• Proven experience designing complex enterprise solutions and working directly with clients.
• Strong knowledge of cloud and solution architecture, with broad experience across Microsoft Azure, application architecture, integration, APIs, distributed architectures, cloud-native solutions, microservices, event-driven architectures, and application modernization.
• Broad knowledge of the Microsoft ecosystem and demonstrated technical depth in one or more relevant domains, such as Cloud, Data, AI, Security, Software Engineering, DevOps, or Platform Engineering.
• Experience facilitating technical, executive, discovery, assessment, or solution-definition workshops.
• Experience participating in pre-sales processes, technical proposals, solution presentations, assessments, proofs of concept, or high-level estimations.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively to technical, business, and executive stakeholders.
• Strong client orientation, consultative thinking, active listening, stakeholder management, negotiation, and problem-framing skills.
• Ability to evaluate technical alternatives and clearly communicate their benefits, risks, costs, dependencies, and trade-offs.
• Proven ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and influence technical decisions without relying on direct authority.
• Ability to manage ambiguity, expectations, complex conversations, and conflicting stakeholder priorities with transparency and professional judgment.
• Advanced English proficiency (C1 or equivalent), with the ability to independently lead workshops, discovery sessions, technical meetings, pre-sales conversations, and solution presentations in English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with enterprise clients, international projects, or regulated industries such as Banking, Financial Services, or Energy.
• Experience in cloud transformation, application and platform modernization, Data, Analytics, or AI initiatives.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Fabric, Azure AI Foundry, Generative AI, RAG patterns, AI Governance, and Responsible AI.
• Knowledge of Identity and Access Management, Zero Trust, Security by Design, Cloud Governance, Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework, Azure Well-Architected Framework, or NIST.
• Experience with DevOps, DevSecOps, CI/CD, GitHub, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Infrastructure as Code, observability, resilience, and FinOps.
• A degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent education or professional experience.
• Relevant certifications such as AZ-305 Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, AI-102 Azure AI Engineer Associate, SC-100 Microsoft Cybersecurity Architect, other Microsoft Data, Development or DevOps certifications, or TOGAF.
