Virtustant is seeking a Social Media Manager to oversee the content pipeline for our client’s YouTube channel and social platforms. You will review edits, ensure brand alignment, and maintain content quality across posts.

You will lead short-form strategy for Instagram, TikTok and YouTube Shorts, using analytics to optimize performance and coordinating with editors and designers to deliver engaging content. Strong writing and detail orientation are essential.

Formación

• 3+ years as a Social Media Specialist or similar role.
• Proven success growing Instagram, TikTok and YouTube Shorts.
• Strong short-form video strategy and audience insight.
• Excellent writing, grammar and communication with meticulous detail.
• Proficiency with Later, Canva and related planning tools.
• Able to work independently while coordinating with editors and designers.

Job Description

Our Client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Social Media Manager to oversee the content pipeline for their YouTube channel and social media platforms. This role involves reviewing and approving video edits, maintaining content quality, and ensuring brand alignment across all posts.

Responsibilities of the role

• Lead strategy and execution for short-form content across Instagram (Reels, Stories, Feed), TikTok, and YouTube Shorts
• Use platform analytics and performance data to drive strategic decisions and optimize content for growth
• Identify compelling moments from long-form YouTube videos and guide editors to repurpose them into engaging short-form clips
• Perform basic photo editing for social posts and thumbnails
• Coordinate with designer on ad creatives and visual brand campaigns
• Schedule content using Later and maintain a consistent posting calendar
• Maintain a high standard of detail and quality across all platforms—no spelling or formatting errors
• Engage with and manage online communities, including course-related Facebook Groups and Discord spaces
• Collaborate cross-functionally on promotional efforts involving blogs, newsletters, and affiliate campaigns
• Stay informed on social trends, platform algorithm changes, and emerging formats

Required Experience and Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a Social Media Specialist or in a similar professional social media role
• Proven success managing and growing Instagram (including Reels and Stories), TikTok, and YouTube Shorts
• Strong grasp of short-form video content strategy and audience behavior
• Excellent writing, grammar, and communication skills with meticulous attention to detail
• Proficiency with Later, Canva, and other relevant content planning tools
• Ability to work independently while coordinating with a team of editors, designers, and content leads

Preferred Skills

• Previous experience managing YouTube or similar digital content
• Basic video editing knowledge (not necessarily hands-on editing)
• Familiarity with content management and scheduling tools for social media
