Job summary

FullStack is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer (GCP) to join our talent network and work with U.S. clients on flexible, project-based development initiatives. You will integrate with client teams, ensuring reliability, performance, and scalable infrastructure across GCP environments.

The role requires 4+ years in SRE/infra/backend, strong English, and a four-year degree. You will contribute to monitoring, automation, and on-call processes while collaborating with engineers and designers daily.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional experience in site reliability engineering, infrastructure engineering, or backend engineering.
• Advanced English is required.
• Successful completion of a four-year college degree is required.
• Experience owning production reliability, incident response, on-call operations, and service availability.
• Strong background with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) infrastructure, including Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, Google Cloud Storage, compute, networking, and managed services.
• Proven experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Zabbix, or Datadog.

Responsibilities

• Integrate directly into our client's team and work alongside their designers and engineers on a daily basis.
• Own production reliability, incident response, on-call operations, and service availability for client projects.
• Contribute to monitoring, alerting, and performance improvements across GCP-based deployments.
• Collaborate on automation and CI/CD pipelines to improve deployment velocity and reliability.

• You will integrate directly into our client's team and work alongside their existing designers and engineers on a daily basis.

What We're Looking For

• 4+ years of professional experience in site reliability engineering, infrastructure engineering, or backend engineering.


• Advanced English is required.


• Successful completion of a four-year college degree is required.


• Experience owning production reliability, incident response, on-call operations, and service availability.


• Strong background with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) infrastructure, including Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, Google Cloud Storage (GCS), compute, networking, and managed services.


• Proven experience building and improving monitoring, alerting, and observability systems using tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Zabbix, Datadog, or similar platforms.


• Strong scripting and automation skills using Python, Bash, or similar languages.


• Proven experience with Docker, containerized workloads, and CI/CD pipelines.


• Experience improving reliability through root cause analysis, incident prevention, blameless postmortems, and measurable reliability metrics.


• Strong background optimizing PostgreSQL performance, including connection pooling, query optimization, indexing, read replicas, and capacity planning.


• Experience improving infrastructure scalability, performance, availability, and cost efficiency.


• Familiarity with automating incident response and developing or integrating AI agents for alert triage and auto-remediation.


• Experience supporting ML or data infrastructure, including training pipelines and model monitoring, is a plus.


• Knowledge of infrastructure as code using Terraform or similar tools is a plus.


• Experience supporting physical or IoT systems, edge devices, cameras, or on-site hardware is a plus.


• Familiarity with bare-metal infrastructure, hardware monitoring, redundancy, failover, and high availability is a plus.


• Ability to work through new and difficult issues and contribute to libraries as needed.


• Ability to create and maintain continuous integration and delivery of applications.


• Forensic attention to detail.


• A positive mindset and a can-do attitude.


• Experience working on Agile/Scrum teams.


• Meaningful experience working on large, complex systems.
