Job summary

Svitla Systems, Inc. is seeking a Senior WordPress Administrator for a part-time role in Argentina. You will serve as the client's primary WordPress expert, handling WP Engine administration, security, maintenance, and support for content and SEO teams.

This high-ownership position requires diagnosing problems, implementing solutions, and carrying work through to production with minimal oversight. You will collaborate with engineering, security, infrastructure, and marketing teams to ensure site

Responsibilities

• Administer production, staging, and development WP Engine environments.
• Maintain WordPress core, themes, and plugins across all properties.
• Manage deployments, backups, user access, configuration, and environment health.
• Identify and remediate WordPress vulnerabilities, insecure configurations, and other security issues.
• Test updates, resolve plugin and theme conflicts, and remove obsolete components.
• Diagnose and fix site errors, broken forms, rendering problems, and performance issues.
• Build and modify pages, templates, themes, plugins, and site features.
• Perform technical SEO work, including sitemaps, redirects, metadata, schema, canonicals, and robots.txt.
• Support content teams with page builds, publishing workflows, and WordPress configuration.
• Maintain and extend integrations using APIs and the WordPress REST API.
• Support AI-assisted development, content, and publishing workflows.
• Coordinate with the client's engineering, security, infrastructure, and marketing teams when needed.

Job description

Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Senior WordPress Administrator for a part-time position (20 hours per week) in Argentina. Our client is a comprehensive tax filing software that offers a wide range of features.

You will serve as the client's primary WordPress expert, covering WordPress and WP Engine administration, security and maintenance, troubleshooting, feature development, and technical support for the content and SEO teams. This is a high-ownership role: you will identify problems, determine the right solution, and carry the work through to production without substantial oversight.

Requirements

• Deep hands-on experience administering and developing WordPress sites.
• Strong PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript skills.
• Experience working directly with WordPress themes, plugins, and APIs.
• Hands-on experience administering multiple sites and environments in WP Engine.
• Solid knowledge of WordPress security, access control, vulnerability remediation, and plugin risk.
• Ability to troubleshoot unfamiliar problems independently and take work from diagnosis through production.
• Familiarity with technical SEO and common WordPress SEO tools.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools and integrating AI services into content or publishing workflows.
• Clear communication and good judgment when balancing security, stability, effort, and business needs.

Will be a plus

This is an ongoing part-time engagement rather than a full-time position. It is best suited for a senior WordPress generalist who can serve as our primary expert and reliably carry the work within an approximately 20-hour weekly commitment.
