PartnerOne is seeking a highly experienced Senior Microsoft Windows SQL Server DBA to own our enterprise database environments and drive performance excellence. You will serve as the SME for SQL Server platforms, lead performance engineering initiatives, mentor junior DBAs, and act as primary escalation point for critical incidents.

Formación

• 7+ years of hands-on SQL Server DBA experience in large-scale production environments.
• Expert-level proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server 2019/2025 on Windows Server 2019/2022.
• Advanced T-SQL skills, including query optimization, execution plan analysis, index design, partitioning, and performance troubleshooting.
• Deep expertise in application performance tuning, collaborating with developers to resolve ORM anti-patterns, N+1 queries, lock contention, and blocking chains.
• Proven experience architecting and supporting Always On Availability Groups, Windows Server Failover Clustering (WSFC), and disaster recovery failover in enterprise environments.
• Strong command of Wait Statistics, Dynamic Management Views (DMVs), Extended Events, and Query Store for root-cause performance diagnosis.
• Familiarity with ITIL change, incident, and problem management processes.

Responsabilidades

• Architect, install, configure, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server instances across Windows environments.
• Lead end-to-end performance engineering and optimize problematic queries with development teams.
• Monitor performance using Extended Events, DMVs, Wait Stats; set baselines and alerts.
• Design and test backup/recovery strategies; own RTO/RPO and drills.
• Architect and maintain HA/DR with Always On and Log Shipping.
• Govern security with RBAC, auditing, encryption, least-privilege.
• Plan capacity and storage with infra teams.
• Lead change governance for schema migrations and deployment scripts.
• Automate routine DBA tasks with PowerShell and SQL Agent.
• Manage patching and upgrades through change management with validation.
• Mentor junior/mid DBAs and contribute to knowledge base.
• Serve as senior escalation in on-call rotation during Sev 1 outages.
