Job summary

Monks, a performance marketing agency, seeks a Senior Video Editor to work remotely for North American universities. You will edit and optimize video content for ads, brand storytelling, and digital campaigns.

You\'ll collaborate with designers, copywriters, and strategists to deliver high‑quality content for YouTube, social media, and paid media campaigns. 3+ years of experience is required, with advanced skills in Premiere Pro and knowledge of After Effects/DaVinci Resolve.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in professional video editing, agency/marketing setting.
• Advanced skills in Adobe Premiere Pro; knowledge of After Effects, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
• Experience editing content for ads, marketing, or corporate communications.
• Strong storytelling ability with pacing, audience engagement, and visual impact.
• Familiarity with motion graphics (text animations, lower thirds).
• Technical knowledge of color grading, sound design, and video formatting for multiple platforms.
• Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Fluent English communication with U.S.-based teams.
• Experience optimizing video content for multiple platforms (YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, TV).

Responsibilities

• Edit and assemble video content for ads, social media, YouTube, and digital campaigns, ensuring strong storytelling and brand consistency.
• Enhance video quality through color correction, sound design, and smooth transitions.
• Integrate motion graphics and simple animations to improve engagement.
• Optimize videos for different platforms, ensuring correct aspect ratios, pacing, subtitles, and thumbnails.
• Collaborate with creative teams -designers, copywriters, and strategists to align visuals with marketing goals.
• Manage video files and organize assets, ensuring structured workflows and version control.
• Review edits and refine content based on internal and client feedback before final delivery.
• Stay updated on new editing techniques and platform trends to continuously improve video effectiveness.
• Ensure timely delivery of final assets, accounting for internal and client review steps.
