Job summary

Proofpoint is seeking a semi-senior engineer to design, build, and deploy large-scale threat detection services. You will work on cutting-edge technology to detect, analyze, and produce intelligence for threats from cyber actors across email, cloud, and collaboration tools.

You will join a high-performing team responsible for building critical detection and analysis services, writing code, and integrating open source technologies with AWS.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience developing scalable and efficient applications in Python, Java or Go.
• Experience with unit testing and secure development practices.
• Cloud-native development using Kubernetes and RESTful APIs.
• Experience automating service deployments (AWS or similar) and test automation.
• Strong learning ability, collaboration, and communication.

Responsibilities

• Be a member of a high-performing team of engineers building threat detection services.
• Develop resilient and scalable components and integrate them into the service.
• Write code and/or integrate open source technologies and AWS services to solve problems.
