Kraken is seeking an experienced software engineer to join the Pro team, focusing on Rust-based trading backend services. You will design robust, low-latency systems and collaborate with hundreds of engineers to deliver scalable crypto trading capabilities.

The role emphasizes security-first design, end-to-end ownership, and mentorship to uplift the engineering culture across the global team. We value 7+ years of software experience, a background in financial trading products, and proficiency

Formación

7+ years of software engineering experience.
Experience building financial trading focused products.
Proficient in writing network services or asynchronous code in Rust.
Security-first mindset during system design.
Autonomous debugging across the stack (OS, network, app).
Understanding of distributed systems and RPC/Kafka concepts.
Collaborate with product teams to gather requirements.
Take end-to-end ownership of systems and libraries.
Provide mentorship to engineers and influence technical culture.

Responsabilidades

Design and implement robust Rust services and libraries powering trading, payments, and crypto experiences.
Write reusable, testable code that scales across teams for revenue-critical systems.
Collaborate on large-scale distributed systems architecture with low latency goals.
Work alongside hundreds of Rust engineers to maintain high-performance engineering culture.
