Kraken is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Consumer team. You will own the architecture of Rust backend services powering trading, payments, and crypto experiences, delivering end-to-end features with a strong focus on usability and reliability.

You will mentor engineers, influence product direction with engineering insights, and drive cross-team initiatives while leveraging AI extensively to accelerate delivery and scale.

Qualifikationen

• 6+ years of backend engineering experience with Rust.
• Track record of owning systems and architecture decisions in production.
• Product-minded engineer with focus on customer impact and metrics.
• Mentoring, design reviews, and setting team standards.

Aufgaben

• Own the architecture and delivery of customer-facing Rust backend services powering trading, payments, and crypto experiences.
• Take ambiguous, multi-quarter problems from concept to shipped and measured outcomes.
• Own features end-to-end beyond API/backend boundary, improving customer experience and frontend impact.
• Collaborate with product leadership to shape roadmaps and define outcomes and metrics.
• Drive cross-team initiatives across Kraken's trading infrastructure and platform teams.
• Mentor mid-level engineers, review designs, unblock others, and establish patterns and standards.
• Leverage AI to amplify scope and speed, and guide the team on AI-assisted engineering.
