Pavago is hiring a Ruby on Rails Developer for a fully remote role. You will build, optimize, and maintain scalable web applications powering SaaS products, collaborating with product and design teams. The ideal candidate has deep RoR expertise, strong backend skills, and a commitment to clean, secure code.

You will work across API design, databases, performance, and deployment, ensuring production-ready features with robust test coverage and adherence to coding standards.

Formación

• 3+ years of professional Ruby on Rails development.
• Strong Ruby, Rails, ActiveRecord, and MVC knowledge.
• Experience with PostgreSQL or MySQL databases.
• Background job frameworks such as Sidekiq or Resque.
• RESTful APIs and backend architecture experience.
• Git workflows and CI/CD pipelines.
• Automated tests with RSpec or Minitest.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, collaborative environment.

Responsabilidades

• Build, maintain, and enhance Rails apps, APIs, and backend services.
• Develop scalable logic using Rails conventions and ActiveRecord.
• Design and maintain RESTful APIs and integrate external services.
• Collaborate with frontend teams using React, Vue, or Stimulus.
• Contribute from planning to deployment for new features.
• Design PostgreSQL/MySQL schemas and optimize queries.
• Implement caching and manage background jobs with Sidekiq/Resque.
• Maintain tests and code quality; participate in reviews.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments.
• Monitor performance and enforce security best practices.
