Job summary

AgileEngine is seeking a Python Application Security Engineer to automate security controls and integrate application and cloud security checks into software development workflows.

The role requires 3+ years in software engineering and security, Python proficiency, and hands-on experience with Wiz/Prisma Cloud or similar tools for cloud security posture management, plus deploy-time and runtime security checks. Upper-intermediate English is required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in software engineering and security.
• Strong coding and architectural proficiency in Python.
• Hands-on experience with Wiz/Prisma Cloud or similar tools for cloud security posture management.
• Experience with deploy-time checks against IaC/Terraform.
• Experience with runtime security checks via CSPM.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision in automated security runbooks.
• Upper-intermediate English is required.

Responsibilities

• Engineer and deploy AI-enabled secure code scanning capabilities and golden images to promote secure-from-the-start adoption.
• Automate secure coding pattern development and integrate with SDLC workflows.
• Architect the integration of SAST/DAST/ SCA into enterprise CI/CD pipelines and tune them to reduce noise.
• Implement runtime security checks via CSPM to maintain cloud visibility and threat posture.
• Act as a senior SME, reviewing complex Java/Python code to provide remediation guidance to engineers.
