Job summary

Citi Argentina is seeking a Public Affairs Officer to shape the corporate narrative, engage stakeholders, and safeguard Citi's reputation. You will lead external and internal communications strategy for the country, aligning local priorities with global objectives, and act as the primary media contact.

The role demands a seasoned communicator with deep financial services knowledge, excellent English and Spanish writing skills, and a track record of crisis management and executive communications

Qualifications

• 10+ years in corporate communications or PR within financial services.
• Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism or PR.
• Track record leading communications in a fast-paced multinational.
• Established network across top-tier financial/business media.
• Excellent writing in English and Spanish.
• Experience handling crises and complex public issues.
• Strong relationships with executives and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead integrated communication strategies to advance Citi's goals and brand in Argentina.
• Serve as Citi's primary media contact with journalists at local outlets.
• Pitch Citi stories and manage media inquiries to secure coverage.
• Oversee external PR agency relationships and priorities.
• Develop internal comms strategies to inform and engage employees.
• Prepare executives for external and internal appearances with speeches and materials.
• Manage crisis response with timely, transparent information.
• Create compelling content across external and internal channels.
• Establish KPIs and report on data-driven results.
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
