Job description

You are an experienced Product Manager who enjoys transforming complex business needs into clear, actionable product solutions. You bring a strong analytical mindset and the ability to look beyond initial requirements, challenge assumptions, identify gaps, and anticipate scenarios that could impact product decisions and delivery.

You thrive in environments where business priorities and technical considerations must come together. You are comfortable navigating ambiguity, facilitating conversations with diverse stakeholders, and making thoughtful decisions about priorities, scope, and product direction. You bring a strong sense of ownership, attention to detail, and curiosity, leveraging AI tools to improve how you research, analyze, document, and communicate product requirements.

You Bring to Applaudo the Following Competencies

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is desired, or equivalent professional experience.
• Senior-level experience in Product Management, Product Ownership, or related roles, preferably with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Proven experience making product-related decisions, managing priorities, evaluating scope, and balancing business needs with delivery considerations.
• Strong experience gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements, including business rules, user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional requirements.
• Experience managing product roadmaps, prioritizing requirements, and supporting product delivery throughout development and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including facilitating discussions, managing expectations, negotiating scope changes, and aligning business and technical teams.
• Ability to identify gaps, clarify ambiguous requirements, anticipate edge cases, and assess the impact of changes on scope, dependencies, and priorities.
• Experience collaborating directly with Developers, QA Engineers, and other technical stakeholders to clarify requirements and validate solutions against business needs.
• Working knowledge of software development processes, system dependencies, and technical concepts to translate business needs into product requirements. Programming experience is not required.
• Experience creating and maintaining product documentation, including Product Requirements Documents (PRDs), Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), user stories, acceptance criteria, and related artifacts.
• Practical experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, or Gemini for research, requirements analysis, user story development, and product documentation.
• Experience using product management, ticketing, and documentation tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Wiki, or equivalent platforms for requirements tracking and traceability.

Nice to Have

• Experience working in software development companies, software factories, or nearshore environments across multiple clients, products, or industries.
• Experience with revenue forecasting, financial planning, sales forecasting, demand planning, budgeting, or similar business planning solutions.
• Experience in aviation, aeronautics, or Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) environments.
• Familiarity with prioritization frameworks such as MoSCoW or RICE.
• Experience conducting formal product discovery and creating PRDs or BRDs from scratch.
• Familiarity with business process mapping and visualization tools such as Miro, Lucidchart, FigJam, or Microsoft Whiteboard.
• Experience using design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Figma Make, or Claude Design to communicate product concepts and visualize workflows.
• Experience defining or managing AI-enabled product features, including AI augmentation, predictive capabilities, or machine learning applications.
• Experience managing products throughout the full lifecycle, from discovery and development through production and continuous improvement.

You Will Be Accountable For The Following Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand business objectives, workflows, requirements, and expected outcomes.
• Translate business needs into clear, actionable product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and supporting documentation.
• Evaluate product requirements and priorities based on business value, stakeholder needs, dependencies, scope, and delivery considerations.
• Proactively identify missing information, ambiguous requirements, conflicting expectations, business rules, and edge cases before development begins.
• Maintain accurate and traceable product documentation, including requirements, meeting notes, approved decisions, and scope changes.
• Facilitate discussions between business stakeholders and technical teams to clarify expectations, resolve questions, and reach agreement on product requirements.
• Assess change requests, communicate their impact on scope, priorities, dependencies, and delivery expectations, and document agreed decisions.
• Collaborate with Developers, QA Engineers, and technical stakeholders to clarify expected behavior, investigate blockers, and ensure solutions align with approved requirements.
• Support product roadmap planning and ongoing prioritization to enable informed decisions about product evolution and delivery.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by validating business scenarios, reviewing reported defects, clarifying expected behavior, and determining whether issues fall within the agreed scope.
• Leverage AI tools to improve research, analyze information, refine requirements, develop user stories, and enhance product documentation while validating outputs for accuracy and relevance.
• Follow up on open questions, pending decisions, dependencies, and action items to maintain stakeholder alignment and support timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Senior-level Product Management or Product Ownership experience, preferably 5+ years.
• Strong Business Requirements Analysis, user stories, acceptance criteria, and product documentation.
• Proven experience with product prioritization, scope management, and stakeholder alignment.
• Experience collaborating with Software Development and QA teams throughout delivery and UAT.
• Hands-on experience with Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or equivalent tools.
• Practical use of AI tools in Product Management workflows.
