Job summary

AgileEngine in Buenos Aires seeks a Senior Platform Engineer to design, build, and scale core infrastructure that supports rapid company growth. You will manage cloud resources on AWS and Kubernetes, design reliable platform services, and work with service mesh technologies to keep systems secure and performant.

You will partner with teams across the business, implement AI-native tooling, and drive architectural improvements such as service discovery, streaming, and distributed caching.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of server development in Python or TypeScript.
• 3+ years API design and development (REST/gRPC).
• 2+ years AWS and Kubernetes, with experience in Service Mesh technologies such as Istio, Linkerd, Cilium, etc.
• 2+ years building advanced architectural components (service registry, streaming, event bus, distributed caching, federated/polyglot persistence, etc).
• 6+ months of experience working with LLMs, prompt engineering, harness engineering, or AIOps tooling.
• 6+ months of SDLC AI native usage via Claude Code, Claude Cowork or similar.
• Excellent communications skills, the ability to learn on the fly, and a desire for ownership.
• Upper-intermediate English level.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable platform services to support company growth.
• Measure, monitor, and optimize system performance, identifying bottlenecks and implementing infrastructure-level improvements.
• Manage cloud resources and service boundaries, ensuring security and operational excellence.
• Implement best practices, methodologies, and tools to optimize the development process and increase efficiency.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including senior leadership, to provide updates on project status, risks, and issues.
