Sourceability is building a new Global Engineering Organization and seeks a Senior PHP Application Engineer to maintain and modernize PHP-based applications. This hybrid role will work from our local office in Buenos Aires and collaborate across Product, QA, DevOps, and Infrastructure.

You will work with legacy code, fix production defects, improve maintainability, and design robust integrations with ERP systems and APIs, while driving modernization and reliable delivery.

Formación

• 5+ years of professional PHP experience
• 3+ years with Symfony
• Proficiency in modern PHP 8.x with strict typing
• Deep Symfony knowledge (6.x LTS) including Messenger
• Experience with RabbitMQ/AMQP
• Strong PostgreSQL/Doctrine ORM
• REST API design with API Platform or similar
• Vue.js (2/3) and Twig; TypeScript proficiency
• Authentication/security: JWT, SAML/SSO
• Strong testing culture: PHPUnit/Behat, PHPStan CI gates
• Docker-first development workflow

Responsabilidades

• Maintain, stabilize, and improve PHP applications, backend services, and integrations
• Diagnose and resolve production defects and performance issues
• Develop new features while maintaining safety and reliability
• Refactor legacy code for maintainability and security
• Build and maintain integrations with ERP systems and data stores
• Collaborate with Product/Delivery Managers and architects
• Improve test coverage and release readiness
• Work with DevOps, DBAs, infrastructure, and security teams
• Participate in code reviews and documentation
• Mentor engineers and share knowledge
