Job summary

Bechtel Argentina seeks an experienced professional to manage environmental permits for a major project. You will coordinate with engineering teams to translate regulatory requirements into actionable design criteria and ensure timely permit processing and compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

The role requires a university degree in Environmental Sciences or Engineering, 5–10 years' mining/environmental experience, and fluency in Spanish with good written English.

Qualifications

• University degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field).
• 10 years of work experience in substation/line construction.
• HV experience in mining projects is required.
• Knowledge of local, provincial and national environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain the project permits matrix with deadlines and responsible authorities.
• Prepare, review and submit the Environmental Impact Report and updates, with supporting documents.
• Manage sectoral permits (water use, emissions, waste, etc.).
• Liaise with provincial/national authorities; respond to observations and audits.
• Ensure environmental design and field activities comply with client standards.
