Job summary

Proofpoint is seeking a Software Engineer III to join the Unified Detection team, building large-scale threat detection services. You will develop, deploy, and evolve detection capabilities leveraging cloud environments and distributed systems.

You will work on features across email, cloud, and SaaS platforms, with emphasis on clean code, testing, and collaboration within a fast-paced engineering culture. A strong background in Python or Golang and observability tools is valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or equivalent practical experience.
• 4+ years of software development experience.
• Experience with distributed systems, cloud environments, and containerized workloads (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Experience with observability/monitoring tools (Grafana, Kibana).
• Experience with RESTful APIs and automated testing practices.
• Bonus: curiosity about cybersecurity or threat detection.
