Requirements include 5+ years of Java backend experience, Oracle/Progress DB knowledge, Liquibase for version control and deployments, and AWS experience. The role emphasizes agile collaboration and high quality software delivery.

About The Opportunity

We are looking for a Senior Java Developer professional that will work as a Senior Developer on our product development team. The candidate will participate in the full life cycle of development and will be required to contribute at the stage, starting from requirement analysis, low level technical design, backend and frontend development, unit testing, integration testing, bug fixing, build release and roll out support.

As a Senior Java Developer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and optimizing enterprise-grade applications that support key business operations. You will:

• Develop and Enhance: Design, build, and maintain high-performance backend applications using Java 7 and Java 8, ensuring scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
• Drive Technical Excellence: Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex application and database issues while promoting best practices and code quality standards.
• Build Robust Data Solutions: Develop and optimize integrations with Oracle and Progress databases, managing schema changes and deployments through Liquibase.
• Leverage Cloud Technologies: Contribute to the deployment and operation of solutions in AWS environments, helping drive cloud adoption and modernization initiatives.
• Influence Architecture Decisions: Participate in application design and technical architecture discussions, ensuring solutions are secure, efficient, and aligned with business goals.
• Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with business stakeholders, architects, analysts, and fellow developers to deliver high-quality solutions in an agile environment.

What You Will Bring To The Table

You are a skilled and experienced Java professional with a passion for building reliable enterprise applications. Ideally, you will bring:

• 5+ years of proven experience in backend application development using Java 7 and Java 8.
• Strong experience working with relational databases, including Oracle and Progress.
• Hands-on knowledge of database version control and deployment management using Liquibase.
• Experience designing, developing, and supporting enterprise applications in AWS cloud environments.
• Solid understanding of software design principles, object-oriented programming, and application architecture patterns.
• Experience integrating applications with external systems and developing scalable APIs and services.
• Strong troubleshooting, performance tuning, and problem-solving skills across application and database layers.
• Knowledge of Oil & Gas Upstream processes and industry practices is highly desirable.
• Experience working within Agile development methodologies and collaborating in cross-functional teams.
• English level: Upper Intermediate or higher.
