SpaceDev, a leading Latin American development partner, seeks a Senior Backend Engineer (Java) to design and maintain scalable backend services. You will work on microservices, event-driven systems, and cloud-native infrastructure in a distributed, remote-first team.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years of backend experience, strong Java/Spring Boot skills, and a track record in FinTech or SaaS environments. Remote-friendly with global collaboration and continuous growth opportunities.

Formación

• Excellent written and verbal English proficiency.
• 8+ years in software development.
• Deep knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, and Spring Framework.
• Industry experience in FinTech or SaaS environments.
• Distributed systems and microservices best practices.
• PostgreSQL and Redis expertise.
• Cloud & containerization with Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS.
• CI/CD & DevOps practices: Jenkins, Git, agile methods.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and optimize backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and Micronaut.
• Design, implement, and maintain distributed microservices in Kubernetes.
• Build RESTful APIs and integrate with front-end and third-party providers.
• Work with Temporal and ActiveMQ for asynchronous workflows.
• Improve data processing with PostgreSQL and Redis.
• Ensure performance, security, and reliability of services.
• Collaborate on CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins and Git.
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in code reviews.
• Coordinate with DevOps and SRE teams on AWS deployments.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and contribute to the tech roadmap.
