Job summary

Werben HR is seeking a Senior Java Engineer with 7+ years of experience to architect, develop, and scale high-performance distributed systems. You will work on production-ready microservices, event-driven architectures, and cloud deployments, ensuring clean code, reliability, and engineering excellence.

You will design and implement scalable microservices with Java/Spring Boot, integrate Kafka for event-driven flows, model MongoDB data, and deploy on OpenShift or AWS.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on software development experience with enterprise backend systems.
• Deep proficiency in Java (Java 8+), including modern concurrency, streams, and design patterns.
• Proven experience building production-grade applications using Spring Boot.
• Hands-on experience designing, developing, and operating distributed microservices.
• Solid understanding of Apache Kafka and event-driven integration patterns.
• Strong hands-on experience with MongoDB NoSQL modeling and query optimization.
• Familiarity with OpenShift and AWS for deployment, scaling, and monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
• Implement event-driven architectures and messaging integration using Apache Kafka.
• Design, query, and optimize NoSQL databases using MongoDB for backend services.
• Deploy, scale, and monitor containerized applications on OpenShift and/or AWS environments.
• Drive code quality through rigorous code reviews, unit testing, CI, and clean design principles.
• Diagnose complex technical issues, optimize backend performance, and troubleshoot distributed systems in production.
