Job summary

Bechtel in Argentina seeks an experienced Environmental Permits Manager to obtain, maintain and monitor project permits, ensuring compliance with national and provincial regulations across the design, construction and commissioning phases.

You will coordinate with engineering teams and authorities, prepare environmental reports, and drive regulatory risk mitigation to keep the project on schedule in San Juan.

Qualifications

• University degree in Environmental Sciences, Chemistry, Civil Engineering, Natural Resources, Geological Sciences or Biological Sciences.
• Professional registration in the corresponding jurisdiction; 5–8 years of environmental management experience in mining, energy or infrastructure projects in Argentina.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and maintain environmental permits for the project in Argentina.
• Ensure compliance with national and provincial regulations in design and construction.
• Coordinate with engineers, regulators and consultants to manage environmental requirements.
• Prepare, review and submit Environmental Impact Reports and updates.
• Monitor permit progress and report regulatory risks to project management.
• Support environmental studies and stakeholder engagement.
