Job summary

AgileEngine is seeking a Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer to design, operate, and improve our enterprise IT services and applications across on‑prem, data centers, and cloud platforms. You will administer Windows and Linux servers, manage virtualization, storage, and backups, and support AWS/Azure environments.

Responsibilities include planning upgrades, monitoring health, leading root-cause analyses, and building automation with PowerShell, Python, and Terraform.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 4+ years designing and supporting enterprise IT infrastructure.
• Strong Windows and Linux server admin, virtualization, storage, backup, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure and dependencies across compute, storage, networking, identity, and security.
• Experience with Active Directory or comparable identity platforms and service-account management.
• Infrastructure lifecycle management, patching, vulnerability remediation, change control, incident management, and documentation.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure across multiple layers and teams.
• Experience building automation and repeatable operational processes.
• Clear implementation planning, risk assessment, rollback procedures, and controlled changes.
• Strong written and verbal communication to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to prioritize work and operate in regulated/security-conscious environments.
• Upper-intermediate English level.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise infrastructure across on‑prem, data centers, cloud, and locations.
• Administer Windows and Linux servers, virtualization, storage, backups, and core services.
• Support cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure) including compute, storage, networking, access controls, monitoring, and readiness.
• Manage identity and access services (Active Directory, cloud identity, authentication, authorization).
• Plan upgrades, migrations, patches, capacity expansions, and decommissioning activities.
• Monitor health, performance, capacity, backups, and security signals; address risks proactively.
• Lead root-cause analyses for incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Develop automation with PowerShell, Python, Bash, Terraform, Ansible, etc., to improve reliability.
• Maintain architecture diagrams, inventories, runbooks, and recovery procedures.
• Ensure robust backup coverage and cross-training; support disaster recovery planning.
• Collaborate with security, network, cloud, app, service desk, compliance, and vendors.
• Follow change, incident, problem, and request-management practices with risk planning.
• Support audit, security, vulnerability-management, access-review, and compliance activities.
• Participate in on-call rotations as required.

ABOUT THE ROLE

MUST HAVES

• - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• - 4+ years of progressive experience designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise IT infrastructure.
• - Strong experience with Windows and Linux server administration, virtualization, storage, backup, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• - Experience supporting cloud infrastructure and understanding dependencies across compute, storage, networking, identity, and security services.
• - Experience with Active Directory or comparable identity platforms, enterprise authentication, privileged access, and service-account management.
• - Experience with infrastructure lifecycle management, patching, vulnerability remediation, change control, incident management, and technical documentation.
• - Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues across multiple technology layers and teams.
• - Experience building or maintaining automation and repeatable operational processes.
• - Ability to create clear implementation plans, assess risk, define rollback procedures, and execute changes in a controlled manner.

• - Experience in healthcare, medical device, life sciences, or another regulated industry.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• - Design, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise infrastructure across on‑premises environments, data centers, cloud platforms, and business locations.
• - Administer and support Windows and Linux servers, virtualization platforms, storage, backup systems, file services, and core infrastructure services.

• - Respond to infrastructure incidents and escalations, lead root‑cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• - Develop and maintain automation using PowerShell, Python, Bash, Terraform, Ansible, or comparable tools to improve reliability and reduce manual work.
• - Maintain accurate architecture diagrams, asset inventories, configuration standards, dependency maps, runbooks, recovery procedures, and knowledge‑transfer materials.
• - Build and maintain reliable backup coverage through cross‑training, paired operations, structured handoffs, and current documentation for systems owned across the team.
• - Support disaster recovery and business continuity planning, including recovery testing, backup validation, restoration procedures, and recovery‑time objectives.
