Job summary

AgileEngine is seeking a Full Stack Tech Lead to guide a squad and build backend services with Java and Spring Boot, supported by an Angular frontend. You will lead technical direction, mentor team members, and drive architectural decisions across backend and frontend layers.

The right candidate has 6+ years of experience in Java/Spring Boot and Angular, with hands-on Kafka, RESTful API design, and a strong command of OOAD, design patterns, and domain-driven design principles.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership as Tech Lead or Squad Lead with mentoring experience.
• 6+ years of hands-on Java (Spring Boot) and Angular experience.
• Strong design skills in OOAD, design patterns, and architecture awareness.
• Deep understanding of Domain-Driven Design and bounded contexts.
• Extensive RESTful API development and consumption experience.

Responsibilities

• Guide a squad to deliver backend services using Java/Spring Boot and Angular frontend.
• Shape and communicate technical direction, architecture, and engineering best practices.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Full Stack Tech Lead to guide a squad and build backend services with Java and Spring Boot, supported by an Angular frontend.

MUST HAVES

- Leadership Experience: Proven experience as a Tech Lead or Squad Lead, with a track record of motivating teams and mentoring junior developers.

- Core Stack: Advanced proficiency in Java (Spring Boot) and Angular, with at least 6 years of experience.

- Streaming & Messaging: Hands-on experience with Kafka.

- Design Fundamentals: A strong grasp of Object-Oriented Analysis and Design (OOA/OOD), software design patterns, and architectural pattern awareness.

- Domain-Driven Design: Deep understanding and practical experience with strong domain bounded contexts.

- API Knowledge: Deep experience building and consuming RESTful services with a clear understanding of standard API protocols.

- Database Skills: Experience working with relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle) and JPA/Hibernate.

- The "Backend-Heavy" Mindset: A passion for server-side logic, performance, and architecture, coupled with good engineering practices.

NICE TO HAVES

- Highly desirable: Experience working with spec-driven development or related (AI-Driven Software Development Life Cycle).

- Domain Experience: Previous experience in the Loyalty or Fintech sectors.
