Job summary

Communities.Tech is a Texas and Argentina based stealth startup seeking a full‑stack engineer to build and ship features across the stack. You’ll collaborate with product and design to turn requirements into scalable solutions, working with a small team (<15) and a remote LATAM setup.

You’ll use React/Next.js (TypeScript), Node.js/Express, PostgreSQL, Redis/BullMQ, and Elasticsearch, with strong testing and code-review practices to improve reliability and performance.

Qualifications

• 4+ years building production web applications.
• Experience with Claude Code, Codex, OhMyPi and similar tools, aware of limitations.
• Strong front-end with React and TypeScript.
• Strong back-end with Node.js/Express.
• Solid understanding of relational data concepts (PostgreSQL).

Responsibilities

• Build and ship features across the stack using React/Next.js (TypeScript) and Node.js/Express
• Design and implement REST APIs, integrations, and realtime features
• Work with PostgreSQL for data modeling and query performance
• Build/maintain background jobs and workflows using Redis + BullMQ
• Support search/indexing use cases with Elasticsearch
• Write tests, participate in code review, and improve reliability/performance across the platform
• Collaborate closely with Product/Design to turn requirements into scalable solutions

What You’ll Do

• Build and ship features across the stack using React/Next.js (TypeScript)and Node.js/Express

What We’re Looking For

• 4+ yearsbuilding production web applications
• Someone who uses Claude Code, Codex, OhMyPi, etc but knows limitations
• Strong front end experience with Reactand TypeScript
• Strong Backend experience with Node.js/Express
• Solid understanding of relational data concepts (PostgreSQL)

Nice to Have

• Elasticsearch, queues/background jobs, Stripe or S3 integrations
• Experience with design systems and component libraries (MUI / PrimeReact)
