Tekton Labs is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer for a global, fully remote engagement. You will work across frontend and backend stacks, implementing scalable features and APIs while evaluating AI-generated code for quality and security.

The role emphasizes React, Rails/Java-related MVC familiarity, SQL databases, and strong debugging skills. Collaboration with product and data teams is essential in a fast-paced environment.

• 3+ years of experience building web applications using Rails, Entity, Spring, or a similar MVC framework.
• 3+ years of experience with SQL databases, ideally ANSI-relational databases like Postgres and RDS.
• 3+ years of experience using HTML and CSS, and styling web apps.
• 3+ years of experience turning wireframes into functional features.
• Experience with agile development and adapting to changing requirements.
• Strong interpersonal skills, strategic mindset, and proactive team leadership potential.
• Experience using Git for source control with GitHub.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer to help design and scale a platform used by enterprise procurement teams. This role blends frontend and backend ownership, working across React and Ruby on Rails to turn wireframes into production features. You'll collaborate closely with product, data science, and design to solve complex, ambiguous problems as part of a growing engineering team.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

- Drive innovation and build scalable solutions.

- Work with Product Management and Staff Tech Leads to estimate and commit.

- Implement best practices, methodologies, and tools to optimize the development process and increase efficiency.

- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including senior leadership, to provide updates on project status, risks, and issues.

- Participate in an on-call rotation.

MUST HAVES

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Full-Stack Engineer to develop backend services and APIs while modernizing application architecture.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

- Spend the majority of your time (approx. 70–80%) designing and implementing robust backend services using Java and Spring Boot.

- Build and maintain the supporting Angular frontend, ensuring a seamless connection between the UI and your backend logic.

- Lead the transition from traditional database-centric designs toward a domain-driven structure (DDD).

- Architect RESTful APIs that prioritize proper HTTP verbs and clean, scalable patterns over legacy RPC styles.

- Work within cross-functional squads to deliver high-quality features while maintaining the cohesive and proactive spirit of the team.

MUST HAVES

- 4+ years of experience with Java and Spring Boot, along with solid working knowledge of Angular.

- A strong grasp of Object-Oriented Design (OOD) and software design patterns.

- Deep experience building and consuming RESTful APIs, with a clear understanding of standard API protocols.

- Experience working with relational databases, specifically PostgreSQL and Oracle, and JPA/Hibernate.

- Strong SQL skills to navigate and optimize very complex SQL, along with robust transactional database experience and a thorough understanding of enterprise-level, high-transactional platforms. Lacking this specific database proficiency will be a direct reason for rejection.

- A passion for server-side logic, performance, and architecture.

NICE TO HAVES

- Experience working with spec-driven development or related AI-Driven Software Development Life Cycle approaches.

- Previous experience in the Loyalty or Fintech sectors.

- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) and containerization (Docker).
