Job summary

Bechtel in Argentina seeks a Senior Civil Engineer (Field Manager) to lead field engineering activities on large infrastructure projects in San Juan. The role oversees permits, safety, and construction sequencing while ensuring adherence to regulations and project schedules.

The position acts as a bridge between engineering design and field execution, coordinating with multiple disciplines, vendors, and authorities.

Qualifications

• Electrical engineer degree and ten (10) years of work-related experience in substation and Line construction.
• Proven High Voltage experience in at least 2 mining projects.
• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines.
• Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner.

Responsibilities

• Support the construction efforts by providing technical support to craft and supervision as well as helping to satisfy Quality requirements on the project.
• Initiates action when necessary to ensure the project is being built as specified in the scope of work.
• Provide construction engineering and technical support for a specific discipline on large stand-alone projects.
• Provide construction engineering and technical support for two or more construction engineering disciplines on small to medium projects.
