Job summary

Fluor is seeking a senior construction engineering specialist to support substation and line construction projects in Argentina (San Juan). The role focuses on electrical engineering input, high voltage experience, and ensuring quality and regulatory compliance across disciplines.

The candidate will interpret design documents, coordinate with design engineers, and manage communications with project managers and contractors to keep the project on schedule.

Qualifications

• Electrical engineer degree with 10 years in substation/line construction.
• High voltage experience in mining projects.
• Ability to apply local, state/provincial and federal/national statutes and guidelines.
• Attention to detail and time-conscious work.

Responsibilities

• Assist craftsmen, foremen, and project supervision with construction-related issues identified on drawings.
• Provide technical interpretation of design documents for construction managers, superintendents, and contractors; supply problem-solving expertise.
• Maintain effective communication between the company and the design engineer to ensure timely flow of design documents and information.
• Coordinate the project quality program when quality is the responsibility of the construction engineering department; report status to project management.
• Other duties as assigned.
