Job summary

Bechtel is seeking a senior professional to manage obtaining, maintaining, and monitoring environmental permits for a major project in Argentina. You will ensure compliance with national and provincial regulations, translate legal requirements into verifiable design criteria, and coordinate with authorities to avoid detentions while supporting project scheduling.

The role acts as a bridge between engineering and regulatory bodies, supervising environmental baselines, studies, and deliverables,

Qualifications

University degree in Environmental Sciences or related field with professional registration.
3+ years in mining, energy or infrastructure projects in Argentina (Level 1) or 5+ years (Level 2).

Responsibilities

Manage permit matrix, deadlines and processing stages for project compliance.
Prepare and submit Environmental Impact Report and updates with supporting docs.
Oversee related permits: water use, effluent, emissions, hazardous waste, soil, vegetation.
Maintain dialogue with provincial and national authorities and respond to observations.
Alert critical permits and propose sequencing alternatives to protect schedule.
Translate environmental constraints to engineering design and verify controls.
