Job summary

Bechtel in Argentina seeks a senior electrical engineer to manage environmental and sectoral permits enabling project execution, ensuring engineering, planning, and field activities comply with applicable regulations and client environmental standards.

The role acts as a bridge between engineering and regulatory authorities, translating requirements into verifiable criteria and aligning the permit route with the project schedule.

Qualifications

• Electrical engineer degree with ten years of related experience in substation and line construction.
• HV experience in at least 2 mining projects.
• Ability to learn and apply local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines.
• Attention to detail and time-conscious work habits.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to craft and supervision and assist with meeting Quality requirements on the project.
• Assist craftsmen, foremen, and project supervision with construction-related issues identified on drawings.
• Provide technical interpretation of design documents for construction managers, superintendents, and contractors.
• Establish and maintain effective communication between the company and the design engineer for timely flow of documents.
• Coordinate the preparation and implementation of the project quality program when required by construction engineering.
• Other duties as assigned.
