Job summary

Bechtel is seeking a senior environmental permits professional in Argentina to manage the obtaining, maintenance and monitoring of permits that enable project execution, ensuring compliance with national and provincial regulations and client standards.

The role acts as a bridge between engineering and regulatory authorities, translating legal requirements into design criteria and maintaining a critical permit route aligned with project schedules.

Qualifications

• Electrical engineering degree with 10 years of experience in substation and line construction
• High voltage experience on mining projects (2+ projects)
• Knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
• Detail-oriented and able to work in a time-conscious manner
• Ability to speak/read English and Spanish

Responsibilities

• Provide construction engineering and technical support for a specific discipline on large projects
• Assist craftsmen, foremen and supervision with construction issues identified on drawings
• Provide interpretation of design documents to support construction managers and contractors
• Establish and maintain communication between the company and the design engineer for timely information flow
• Coordinate the project quality program and report status of quality functions to project management
• Perform other duties as assigned
