Job summary

Helpware Inc. is seeking a hands-on Senior DevSecOps Engineer to build secure cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes platforms, and CI/CD pipelines. You will embed security into the software delivery lifecycle and mentor teams on secure-by-default practices.

Responsibilities include securing AWS/GCP, enforcing policy-as-code, and enhancing supply-chain security across DevOps and platform teams. The role requires strong automation, scripting, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on in DevSecOps/DevOps/Cloud Security with automation.
• Strong experience securing AWS or Google Cloud including IAM and network controls.
• Deep Kubernetes/containerized workload security, EKS or GKE experience.
• Terraform usage with reusable modules, policy enforcement, safe changes.
• CI/CD and release engineering expertise with artifact security and gates.
• Automated security controls: scanning, SBOMs, policy-as-code, infra scanning.
• Scripting/programming for automation and integrations.
• Experience in regulated environments and translating HIPAA/SOC2/PCI DSS/HITRUST/SOX to controls.
• Excellent communication and technical leadership; English B2+.

Responsibilities

• Integrate security into cloud infra, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and self-service workflows.
• Design secure-by-default patterns for IAM, workload identity, and secrets management.
• Identify gaps, assess risk, and establish scalable security practices with DevOps teams.
• Build automated, risk-based guardrails across source, builds, changes, and deployments.
• Strengthen Kubernetes security, SBOMs, artifact signing, and build provenance.
• Remediate vulnerabilities and misconfigurations across cloud, Kubernetes, and CI/CD.
• Support incident response, containment, recovery, and post-incident improvements.
• Translate regulatory requirements into practical engineering controls; create docs/runbooks.
