AgileEngine is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to operate and improve a Kubernetes-based API platform across public and private clouds, including automation, tooling, and incident management. This senior role requires strong Kubernetes production experience and hands-on Linux, with cloud exposure (Azure/AWS).

You will own incidents from detection to RCA, onboard new clients, build automation, and drive capacity planning while supporting upgrades.

Qualifications

• 4+ years operating Kubernetes in production with strong Linux fundamentals.
• Experience with public cloud (Azure or AWS).
• Upper-intermediate English level.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain the Kubernetes-based platform across public and private cloud environments.
• Use observability tooling to keep alerts actionable with up-to-date runbooks and documentation.
• Manage incidents end-to-end including incident response, RCA, and post-incident reviews.
• Onboard and support new clients on the platform.
• Build automation and diagnostic tooling to reduce manual effort and evaluate performance.
• Identify and deliver process improvements.
• Support software and hardware upgrades and keep components up to date.
• Proactively manage capacity so the platform scales with demand.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Site Reliability Engineer to operate and improve a Kubernetes-based API platform across public and private cloud environments, including automation, tooling, and incident management.

MUST HAVES

• 4+ years of hands‑on experience operating Kubernetes in production, ideally with Service Mesh.
• Strong Linux and command line fundamentals.
• Confident debugging and troubleshooting complex systems, from the application layer through to lower-level infrastructure.
• Experience working with a public cloud provider, preferably Azure or AWS.
• Upper-intermediate English level.

NICE TO HAVES

• Working knowledge of Grafana, Prometheus, Loki and Tempo is a plus.
• Scripting or coding in Python or Java is a strong plus.
• CI/CD, infrastructure as code such as Helm or Terraform is a plus.
• Financial services background is not required.
