thaia® in Buenos Aires is seeking a Design Engineer to build polished, production-grade UI for our core product. You will work between design and engineering, delivering high-fidelity interfaces and contributing to marketing surfaces when needed.

You will collaborate with product designers and engineers, ship fast with strong attention to detail, and push for performance, accessibility, and craft in every release. A portfolio demonstrating high craftsmanship is essential.

Formación

• Portfolio of high-craft frontend or design engineering work.
• Ability to own work end-to-end from exploration to shipped code.

• Partner with product designers, PMs, and engineers to translate intent into high-fidelity implementations.
• Craft layouts, typography, responsiveness, motion, and micro-interactions using Tailwind CSS.
• Occasionally contribute to marketing site and logged-out experiences with same quality bar.
• Contribute to shared UI foundations, components, patterns, and design tokens.
• Work across the stack using React, Next.js, and TypeScript for fast, reliable interfaces.
• Optimize for performance, accessibility, and maintainability.
• Raise the bar for frontend craft through code reviews and shared standards.

Design Engineer

They are on a mission to help companies understand and control their AI presence. As AI-generated experiences increasingly shape how brands are discovered, trusted, and chosen, the quality of those experiences matters more than ever.

Design engineering is core to how they build. With a high bar for craft, taste, and execution, you will work between design and engineering by shipping high-quality, highly polished experiences across the product and, at times, marketing surfaces.

What You'll Do

• Build and ship polished, production-quality UI across the core product
• Partner with product designers, product managers, and engineers to translate intent into precise, high-fidelity implementations
• Craft layouts, typography, responsiveness, motion, and micro-interactions using Tailwind CSS
• Occasionally contribute to the marketing site and logged-out experiences, maintaining the same bar for quality and performance
• Contribute to shared UI foundations, including components, patterns, and design tokens
• Work across the stack using React, Next.js, and TypeScript to deliver fast, reliable interfaces
• Optimize for performance, accessibility, and maintainability without compromising on design
• Raise the bar for frontend craft through code reviews, critiques, and shared standards

Who You Are

• Strong experience with React, Next.js, Tailwind, and TypeScript in production environments
• Exceptional CSS skills, with a proven ability to build pixel-perfect, resilient UIs
• A strong eye for design and interaction, with taste you can defend and implement
• Comfortable owning work end-to-end, from early exploration through shipped code
• Experience working closely with designers and engineers in fast-moving product teams
• A portfolio that demonstrates high-craft frontend or design engineering work
• Thrives in a startup environment that values speed, iteration, and quality
