Customer.io is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to help teams make better decisions using customer and product data. You’ll work with Product, Marketing, and Customer Experience to evaluate changes, design experiments, and turn data into actionable direction.

You’ll build models, analyze behavioral data, and apply machine learning pragmatically to support product and business decisions. Ownership and collaboration are key in this hybrid, data-driven role.

Formación

• 5+ years of experience in a Data Science role within B2B SaaS or a similar product‑oriented environment.
• Strong foundation in statistics, experimentation, and behavioral analytics with pragmatic application to product problems.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python for large-scale analysis, modeling, and exploration.
• Experience with modern cloud data platforms (Snowflake, BigQuery, or similar); familiarity with dbt is a plus.
• Strong communication and stakeholder skills to explain complex analysis to non‑technical partners.
• Ownership mindset — define problems and drive work forward even with imperfect requirements.

Responsabilidades

• Analyze behavioral patterns across the customer lifecycle to identify trends and opportunities.
• Design experiments and measurement approaches to evaluate product and marketing changes.
• Build models and datasets to improve customer segmentation and forecasting.
• Apply machine learning and AI techniques to practical, internal and customer-facing problems.
• Partner with Data Engineering to improve data quality and accessibility of core metrics.
• Communicate findings clearly so stakeholders can act without a statistics background.
