Azumo is hiring a Data Scientist to own the pre-production questions, methods, and evaluation that determine whether a solution actually solves the client's problem. The role is fully remote across Latin America, aligned to the client's working day, and integrates with our four engineering lanes to push production AI systems forward.

You will translate business questions into measurable objectives, select modeling approaches (including supervised/unsupervised, CNNs, Transformers, and PEFT

Formación

• 5+ years building and validating models against real decisions.
• Hands-on PyTorch or equivalent framework for training, modules, and optimization.
• Strong command of pandas, NumPy and scikit-learn.
• Experience with experimentation design: baselines, holdouts, significance.

Responsabilidades

• Translate business decisions into measurable objectives and baselines.
• Choose modeling approaches (supervised/unsupervised, CNNs, Transformers) and justify choices.
• Fine-tune or adapt pretrained models with LoRA/QLoRA/PEFT and know when not to fine-tune.
• Design experiments and report uncertainty clearly for decision-making.
• Handover packaged models with documentation and monitoring metrics.
