Oneseven Technology (Formerly 17 Web Dev) is seeking a Senior Data Engineer focused on data ingestion and connectors for a cybersecurity-focused Identity Security platform. You will ingest data from diverse enterprise sources, design scalable pipelines, and work directly with customers to align architecture with security requirements.

The role blends data engineering, software engineering, and solution architecture across cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP).

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional Software Engineering, Data Engineering, Platform Engineering, or related experience.
• Strong Python and Go development experience.
• Experience designing and consuming REST APIs.
• Hands-on experience building data ingestion pipelines, connector frameworks, or similar systems.
• Experience integrating complex enterprise systems and third-party platforms.
• Solid understanding of both SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Production experience with AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong CI/CD practices and Git workflows.
• Ability to work directly with customers and translate requirements into technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain production-grade data collectors, connectors, and ingestion services.
• Integrate enterprise data sources including identity providers, cloud platforms, SASE, networks, endpoints, applications, and SIEMs.
• Collaborate with customers to understand environments, data flows, APIs, and constraints.
• Lead technical onboarding from discovery to deployment.
• Design scalable ingestion architectures for high-volume data like security events and logs.
• Build integrations using REST APIs, cloud services, event-driven architectures.
• Develop backend services with Python and/or Go.
• Work with SQL/NoSQL databases for storage and analysis.
• Operate containerized services with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Deploy solutions across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Troubleshoot complex deployment/integration issues across layers.
• Optimize ingestion performance, reliability, and time-to-value for customers.
• Partner with Solution Architects, Sales Eng, CS, Product, and Eng.
• Transform customer requirements into reusable connectors and platform capabilities.
• Contribute insights to product roadmap.
