Jobtailor in Argentina is seeking a senior Data Engineer to design and optimize data pipelines and architectures for high-throughput financial transactions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into scalable data solutions and mentor engineers in best practices.

This role emphasizes data quality, governance, and compliance while working with modern cloud data tools in a Fintech context. Strong English required and Fintech experience is a plus.

Formación

• 5+ years in Data Engineering, Big Data, or related software roles.
• Proven track record managing high-volume, production data systems.
• Strong Python and SQL proficiency.
• Hands-on Spark/PySpark, Delta Lake, lakehouse architectures.
• Experience with AWS data services (S3, Glue, Athena, Lambda).
• Airflow or DAG-based orchestration experience.
• Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery experience.
• Real-time streaming with Kafka or Kinesis.
• Familiar with dbt, Git, Docker, CI/CD, IaC.
• Advanced English; fintech/payments/e-commerce a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and maintain high-throughput batch and streaming data pipelines for financial transactions.
• Design, scale, and optimize cloud data warehouse and lakehouse architectures for large data volumes.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists, Software Engineers, and Product Managers to translate business needs into scalable data solutions.
• Implement data quality frameworks, automated testing, monitoring, and alerting for data integrity and SLA compliance.
• Drive DataOps, including CI/CD, workflow automation, and Infrastructure as Code for data systems.
• Champion data governance, privacy, and security standards, including GDPR/LGPD compliance.
• Mentor junior and mid-level Data Engineers and promote engineering best practices.
