Job summary

Arionkoder is hiring a Freelance Data Engineer to build a governed data foundation on Databricks, ensuring exact, reconciled business entities with provenance and source validation. You will manage access controls and APIs to serve data per caller permissions, working closely with a small client-team including an AI engineer and data platform specialists.

You should have years of experience on Databricks in production, including Unity Catalog, and be comfortable working remotely with the client

Qualifications

• 6+ years professional data engineering
• 3+ years with Databricks in production including Unity Catalog
• Expert SQL and Python; Spark/PySpark a plus
• Strong data modeling with history-aware techniques and provenance
• Data quality and testing discipline with CI/CD for data
• Entity resolution or master data across systems
• CDC/streaming or incremental processing experience
• Knowledge of access control in production (row-level security)
• Built APIs or services that serve data
• Senior judgment; autonomous and client-facing

Responsibilities

• Build a governed data foundation on Databricks
• Ensure data correctness with reconciled entities and provenance
• Implement access controls and secure data APIs
• Collaborate with solution architect, AI engineer, and client teams
• Employ AI tools for data modeling, testing, and documentation
