Abstra is seeking a skilled Drafter to read and interpret contract drawings, create 2D/3D drawings, and develop AutoCAD-based designs for roofing and sheet metal projects. This remote role supports US Central Time operations and offers USD compensation.

You will manage project files, revise drawings per client specs, ensure constructability and weatherproofing, and collaborate with project managers and engineers from a LATAM remote team.

Competenze

• Technical degree or certificate in drafting or equivalent training.
• 2–5 years of related drafting experience.
• Proficient with AutoCAD; knowledge of Bluebeam Software.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Mansioni

• Read and interpret contract drawings and specifications.

Essential Job Functions

• Read and interpret contract drawings and specifications.
• Take field measurements and create 2D/3D drawings.
• Use AutoCAD to develop drawings for commercial and residential roofing/sheet metal projects.
• Revise existing drawings based on client specifications.
• Manage computer files (DWG, DWF, PDF).
• Assist Project Managers and Engineers with pre-construction tasks as needed.
• Ensure constructability, code compliance, and weatherproofing/durability.

Required Education, Experience, and Skills

• Technical Degree or Certificate in Drafting or equivalent on-the-job training required.
• 2-5 years of related work experience preferred.
• Proven proficiency using AutoCAD and knowledge of Bluebeam Software.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
