OX Security is hiring for a backend-focused role. You will design and implement scalable backend systems and APIs, collaborating with product, frontend, and other engineering teams to define architecture and requirements.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in backend development, strong Node.js expertise, and experience with SQL/NoSQL, cloud, and microservices. This remote role offers USD-based compensation and opportunities to mentor in a fast-growing cyber security company.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years of backend development experience.
• Active use of AI tools (Copilot/LLMs) to optimize coding.
• Experience building scalable, production-grade systems.
• Proficiency in Node.js.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and microservices.
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Commitment to clean, maintainable code.

What You'll Be Doing

• Design and implement scalable backend systems and APIs
• Collaborate with Product, Frontend, and other engineering teams on system architecture and requirements
• Optimize performance, scalability, and security of applications
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues with minimal downtime
• Lead code reviews and promote best engineering practices
• Mentor and support junior engineers
• Continuously improve system design, reliability, and development processes

Requirements

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in backend development
• AI-First Approach – Active and proficient use of AI tools (e.g., Copilot, LLMs) to streamline coding practices, accelerate learning curves, and optimize workflows.
• Strong experience building scalable, production-grade systems
• Proficiency in Node.js
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and microservices architecture
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Passion for writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code

Bonus Points for :

• Experience in the cybersecurity, SaaS, or Cloud Security domain.
• Hands-on experience with modern cloud environments (AWS/GCP), Docker, and Kubernetes.
