Job summary

Darwoft seeks a Senior Software Engineer for its Payouts Platform (Python). This 100% remote LATAM role focuses on backend microservices that securely process payments for a US fintech, handling millions of daily requests with high reliability.

You will design scalable architectures, work with cloud services, and mentor peers. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in fast-paced environments, strong Python backend skills, and experience with REST, security/compliance, and distributed systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Software Engineer experience in fast-paced environments (Fintech preferred).
• Proven track record shipping production software, ideally Fintech.
• Strong backend development with Python as primary language.
• Experience designing web services and REST APIs.
• Solid foundation in algorithms and data structures.
• Knowledge of Hexagonal and Event-Driven architectures.
• Familiarity with A/B Testing, Feature Flags, and Gradual Rollouts.
• Knowledge of security, compliance, and KYC/AML processes.
• Fluent or advanced English.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement robust backend services for secure, timely fund disbursement.
• Build, optimize, and scale microservices supporting payments, compliance, and disbursement workflows.
• Design and manage infrastructure to handle millions of daily requests with high security and performance.
• Build distributed systems using Google Cloud services and industry-standard tools.
• Collaborate with product, operations, compliance, and other units to deliver end-to-end financial solutions.
• Mentor junior developers and promote engineering best practices.
• Leverage feedback and analytics to continuously refine platform capabilities.
